About the job
As Energy Manager, you will take on a central position within an international industrial organization, working across several European locations, meaning you will travel between sites over Europe.
Your focus will be on optimizing the performance and efficiency of various energy installations, including combustion systems, gas boilers, gas turbines, steam turbines, and biogas engines.
You will combine technical expertise with a pragmatic, hands-on approach to identify improvement opportunities and implement sustainable solutions together with local teams.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Optimizing the efficiency and performance of energy installations across multiple European sites
- Analyzing operational data and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities
- Supporting operational decisions based on energy market conditions and plant performance
- Implementing best practices across different locations
- Collaborating closely with local technical teams to solve complex energy-related challenges
- Investigating root causes of technical issues and developing new procedures
- Contributing to the development and implementation of new energy generation initiatives
- Driving continuous improvement in energy efficiency and sustainability
Job requirements
We are looking for an international person with a technical background and expertise in energy installations. In concreto this requires the following:
- Engineering degree with at least 7 years of experience in energy installations (gas, combustion, electricity, steam, or similar) within a project setup
- Strong analytical mindset with proven experience in optimizing industrial installations. You are capable of understanding new technologies and implementing them over various site with the necessary strategical insight.
- International mindset and willingness to travel approximately 50% across Europe. This role requirers permanent residence in Belgium with regular travel to sites in Portugal, France, Belgium, Finland, and the Netherlands.
- Fluent in English and French; Dutch is considered a plus
