Our client is a leading distributor specializing in technical products. From their headquarters in West Flanders and with a network of branches spread across Belgium, the organization supplies professional customers in various sectors on a daily basis. To strengthen the Supply Chain Planning team, we are looking for a motivated Supply Chain Planner who likes to help build a high-performing and future-oriented organization.
About the job
As a Supply Chain Planner, you are responsible for the end-to-end management of the flow of goods within a specific product category. You combine operational planning with analytical insight and actively contribute to the further professionalization of the Supply Chain;
- You will translate commercial input and historical data into accurate demand forecasts and coordinate with sales and product management.
- You will monitor and optimize inventory levels with the goal of optimizing the balance between availability and working capital.
- You will place and manage purchase orders with international suppliers and follow up closely.
- You detect and analyze delivery issues and take proactive actions to mitigate disruptions in the Supply Chain.
- You analyze product rotation, slow movers and inventory structure and identify opportunities to further optimize the assortment and inventory position.
- You closely track backorders and returns and ensure correct and timely fulfillment.
- You coordinate with product management around product lifecycle management, introductions and phase-outs.
- You actively participate in the optimization and automation of planning processes, taking a key role in this.
- You make optimal use of planning and analysis tools (such as Slimstock and Excel) and contribute to the further deepening of these systems within the organization.
- You think critically about existing practices and initiate continuous improvement initiatives within Planning and Supply Chain.
Job requirements
- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and at least several years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Demand Planning or Inventory Management.
- You combine strong analytical insight with a hands-on approach and translate data into concrete actions.
- You work fluently with Excel and planning/ERP systems (experience with Slimstock or SAP is a plus).
- You communicate clearly and persuasively and know how to align, challenge and include stakeholders in decisions.
- You think critically about processes and initiate improvement and efficiency projects.
- You communicate fluently in Dutch and can express yourself professionally in French.
