Our client is a Belgian family company specialized in producing healthy food products. Since its establishment, the company has developed into a market leader in Belgium with a strong focus on quality, innovation and sustainability. From their state-of-the-art production site in Antwerp, we are looking for a Production Manager to support further growth.
About the job
In this role, you will manage a team of 20 employees with the help of team leaders. You are in daily charge of the operational processes and ensure that all activities are in line with the set targets for productivity, quality, hygiene, safety and customer satisfaction. You draw up weekly schedules for both production and logistics, and monitor the timely delivery of products so that they meet the agreed quality and yield requirements. Your thorough technical knowledge allows you to intervene and optimize both machines and processes where necessary. You are the point of contact on the workfloor and you motivate and coach your experienced team. In addition, there are plenty of improvement projects waiting for you. In this role you report to the Plant Manager.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree, or equivalent through experience, with technical affinity;
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing context. Experience in the food industry is a plus;
- Stress resistance due to the dynamic environment;
- Born leader with a hands-on mentality;
- Well organized, problem-solving and decisive.
