For a growing SME active in logistics services, we are looking for an Operations Manager with commercial mind.
About the job
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the multiple warehouses and production lines. You have final responsibility for the logistics activities and report to the board member. Monitoring and adjusting the specific KPIs around safety, quality and productivity is one of your objectives. You implement the safety and quality policy in the various departments. You optimize existing processes, suggest improvements and implement new procedures. You are the point of contact for the customer and have regular meetings with them. You carry out the vision of the board and management to the entire organization and work closely with other internal departments. The search for new customers and opportunities will also be part of your tasks. Furthermore you take care of the implementation of new customers.
Job requirements
- Bachelor/Master’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant managerial experience;
- Thorough knowledge of logistics processes + technical affinity is a must;
- Hands-on mentality. It is important to roll up your sleeves within this family-oriented SME;
- Strong analytical, management and leadership skills;
- Experience with improvement and optimization projects and takes initiative in these.
