Today we are looking for a Logistics Coordinator for a successful family business active in the retail sector. Our client is a modern and fast growing player in the distribution and sales of premium in- and outdoor articles. With several branches it is one of the biggest players in Belgium.
To strengthen their position, the focus today is on further professionalization. In recent years, for example, the group has set up a group-level management team with the aim of creating a more efficient organization.
About the job
We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator, an important role within the organization. Namely, you are responsible for the follow-up and optimization of the logistic processes. As responsible for stock management, you are the point of contact for stock problems and all actions that can affect the stock. You actively contribute to the rollout of various process improvement projects and logistics processes including an automatic ordering system. You are responsible for monitoring and planning transportation to ensure timely supply of the store locations. In this role, you work closely with Supply Chain Manager to whom you report on the various optimization projects.
Job requirements
- A strong planning profile who flawlessly manages the entire logistics component. Someone who ensures the maximum employability of the drivers to complete all transport assignments. Someone who promotes cooperation between the logistics department and the stores.
- An analytical person who analyzes stock differences, knows how to avoid stock errors and thus contributes to the optimization of stock management accounting for some 60 000 SKU’s. Someone who subsequently adjusts replenishment planning and forecasts where necessary.
- Someone with experience in a logistics coordinating role. Someone who draws people into their story by regularly being physically present in store locations and warehouses.
- Fluent communicator who feels at home in a work environment with an informal work atmosphere.
- Someone who is looking forward to a role with impact and has the ambition to co-write a success story.
