To support the organization’s continued growth and professionalization, we are seeking a Business Support Manager on their behalf.
About the job
As Business Support Manager, you serve as the CEO’s right-hand person and ensure that the organization continues to function properly from an operational, legal, and organizational standpoint;
- You will ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, quality, and environmental requirements within a highly regulated logistics environment.
- You manage permits and certifications, coordinate audits and inspections, and ensure compliance with customs regulations.
- You advise management and colleagues on regulations, processes, and organizational issues.
- You will optimize internal procedures, work instructions, and operational agreements, and assist with the onboarding of new clients and projects.
- You promote and reinforce a strong safety culture through training and internal awareness campaigns.
- You maintain contact with external partners, government agencies, and regulatory bodies.
- You monitor relevant laws and regulations and translate changes into concrete internal actions.
Job requirements
- You have a master’s degree or an equivalent level of academic achievement.
- You have some initial relevant experience in compliance, legal, consulting, logistics, or a similar field.
- You feel at home in an SME environment where responsibility and initiative are key.
- You have strong analytical skills, work in a structured manner, and enjoy following up on matters thoroughly.
- You know how to translate complex regulations into practical solutions.
- You have strong communication skills and are not afraid to offer advice to various stakeholders.
- You are eager to learn and willing to delve deeper into topics such as safety, the environment, and compliance.
- You are fluent in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a plus.
