As Fleet & Maintenance Manager, you are the linchpin of the organization ensuring optimal availability of all vehicles needed to perform all works smoothly. A company that will experience solid growth in the coming years and must therefore be able to count on a very reliable fleet of machines.
About the job
You can take on a broad responsibility and it includes the following.
- You help carry out the vision that optimally supports the sites, so you are primarily jointly responsible for safety.
- In this position, you look at both the day-to-day and strategic long-term aspects. You manage a team of technicians and are closely involved in the setup, organization and direction of garage.
- You help look at the TCO in long-term use and the expected maintenance costs involved. This is how you give your input for purchases at the technical level.
- You also develop your own proposals that improve operations and create a solid foundation for the technical service.
Job requirements
For this we are looking for someone who has the necessary experience in the field of maintenance with rolling stock. You know how to set up a preventive maintenance department in function of optimal logistics and limited impact on operations. You can assess when you can go on site and when a heavy vehicle needs to come in for maintenance.
You are familiar with the “technology” side of fleet management and have the necessary IT skills to manage fleet and its OPEX & CAPEX costs.
