Our client is an international and dynamic player specialized in the distribution of high-quality raw materials in bulk across Europe. From their logistics hub in Antwerp, they coordinate the full supply chain for the European market. This strategically located site processes tons of dry and liquid minerals annually and utilizes a wide range of transport modes.
Job inhoud
You coordinate maritime transport activities (forwarding, stevedoring, barging), maintain close contact with shipping lines and charterers and collaborate closely with internal teams such as Procurement. You also handle the administrative and documentation flow, including contracts, rates, damage claims while contributing to continuous process improvements.
Your responsibilities include:
- Coordination and follow-up of terminal operations and stevedoring
- Administration and document management (contracts, rates, volume tracking, insurance, damage claims)
- Supporting the Purchasing team in sourcing for road, rail, ocean transport
- Warehouse oversight to ensure optimal rotation and quality preservation
- System management and data optimization to monitor performance and carrier relations
- Occasional project management within the European logistics scope
Job vereisten
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Strong knowledge of sea freight, stevedoring and warehousing
- Experience with bulk transport (dry or liquid cargo) is a must
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to adapt quickly to changing situations
- Fluency in English – knowledge of Dutch, French or German is a plus
