Our client is a dynamic and international player with a strong focus on ocean distribution of high-quality bulk raw materials within Europe. We are looking for an Ocean Freight Logistics Coordinator on their behalf.
About the job
In this crucial role, you ensure that the right products are in the right place at the right time. You act as the key link between terminals, warehouses, and transport partners, overseeing the entire process from A to Z. You work closely with both internal teams and external partners.
You will have broad responsibilities, including close collaboration with the planning team to ensure that the correct volumes are allocated to the appropriate customers or storage locations. You maintain regular contact with shipping lines and charterers to ensure the necessary vessel space is available, working closely with the procurement team to that end.
You also meticulously follow up on all administrative aspects from start to finish and are able to act quickly and decisively when needed. You coordinate the full Ocean freight supply chain—from bulk import to distribution across Europe—maintaining close communication with shipping lines, vessel owners, charterers, … You are the link between warehouse, terminal operations, and vessel organization.
Job requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

Initial experience in sea freight is a must

Knowledge of bulk transport (chemicals, liquids) is a plus

Able to work in a structured manner and maintain a clear overview

Solutions-oriented with the ability to adapt quickly when things don’t go as planned

A proactive team player with a problem-solving mindset

Fluency in English is required; Dutch is an asset
